Our Materials
We don’t start with a factory. We start with what nature already does best — then we make it into shoes.
Three materials, one idea
🌳
Tree
Eucalyptus fibre — cool, breathable, and grown with a fraction of the water.
🐑
Wool
ZQ merino — temperature-regulating, odour-resistant, impossibly soft.
🌱
Sugar
SweetFoam® from sugarcane — the world’s first carbon-negative foam sole.

🌳 Tree
Our Tree shoes are woven from FSC-certified eucalyptus pulp, sourced from responsibly managed South African farms. The result is a silky, breathable knit that feels like a cool breeze.
- 95% less water than traditional materials
- Half the carbon of typical synthetics
- Naturally cooling for warm days
🐑 Wool
Spun from ZQ-accredited merino, raised on regenerative farms with the highest standards of land and animal welfare. The fibres are 20% finer than human hair.
- Regulates temperature year-round
- Naturally moisture-wicking & odour-resistant
- So soft you can wear them barefoot

🌱 Sugar
Most shoe soles are made from petroleum. Ours are made from sugarcane. We call it SweetFoam® — the world’s first carbon-negative green EVA, and we open-sourced it so the whole industry can use it.
- Made from a renewable resource
- Carbon-negative by design
- Springy, durable, and endlessly comfortable
